Erasmus+ Worldwide Exchange Program First Call for Applications Author: Office of International Programs (OIP)
Office of Interantional Programs is delighted to present new exchange destinations via Erasmus+ Worldwide Exchange Program! Erasmus+ Worldwide extends beyond Europe, allowing for mobility from and to other parts of the world. Application Dates Applications for Erasmus+ Worldwide will be open between 13/12/2019- 03/01/2020. For more information on scheduling, please check OIP’s Application and Selection Calendar Information Sessions Information sessions will be held between 13/12/2019- 03/01/2020. Specific dates, times and locations of the information sessions will be announced via KU Daily at a later date. The purpose of these sessions will be to explain the rules and application steps required by the program. Partners & Destinations
* The agreements cover all departments in both universities, the students should check whether their departments exist in the host universities. ** Common quota for related partner country. Application Requirements Minimum required CGPA 2.20 for undergraduate, 2.50 for graduate and postgraduate students. Language Requirement: Koç University Institutional TOEFL (550), TOEFL (550 PBT/ 80 IBT) or IELTS Score Card (min. 6.5) (valid for 2 years after the test date) Application Documents
Placement Criteria
How to Apply
Erasmus+ Worldwide Grant Erasmus+ Worldwide Study program provides monthly stipend as well as travel grant to selected participants. Koç University student going to a partner country receives 700€ per month.
Selected participants also receives travel grant. The calculation is done based on the distance between Koç University and the host city. Calculation is done by Distance Calculator (https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/resources/distance-calculator_en)
Quotas for Erasmus+ Worldwide grant will be distributed equally to all colleges. Applicants with highest ranking from each college according to placement criteria will be selected for the related partner universities. If there is no application form a certain college/institute, grant quota will be allocated among the applicants from participating colleges/institutes based on their placement scores. Additional Grant for Participants with Special Needs: The allowances are offered when disabilities or health conditions lead to additional mobility costs, which exceed the maximum grant allocations allowed and which cannot be recovered from other sources. The grant covers approved actual costs. Participant should contact OIP for additional grant application. Zero Grant Participation Students are able to participate in Erasmus+ Worldwide Study program without receiving a grant. However, it should be noted that the student have to go through the same application & selection procedures and submit the required documents (before-during-after mobility) to OIP.
