China Summer Camp Activity

In order to promote the communication of education, economics and culture between China and Turkey, and provide more opportunities for Turkish young people to learn Chinese language, China and also Chinese culture, Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University and Shanghai University will co-organize the Turkish University Students China Summer Camp.

The activities of Turkish University Students China Summer Camp are listed below:

1. Chinese language learning

Students will be divided into different classes according to the student’s Chinese level. And we adopt the class-based teaching unit. Every camper will receive 30 hour Chinese courses. The content is mainly about: Junior Chinese Oral Language and Intermediate Chinese Oral Language.

2. Cultural visiting experience

During the summer camp, the sponsor will organize campers to visit Shanghai downtown, Hangzhou, Suzhou and so on. Campers will also enjoy local culture of China and experience Chinese cultures.

3. Communicating with Chinese students

During the summer camp, the sponsor will organize Turkish students to communicate with Chinese students.

Activity time: 2 July, 2014 – 15 July, 2014

Applying time: 1 April, 2014 – 5 May, 2014

Activity Expense:

A. The student who is going to participate in the summer camp should pay for the round trip air ticket and visa fee, and Confucius Institute will help to apply for visa. During the camp activity (In China), camper’s food and accommodation, language learning and visiting activities will be arranged by Shanghai University. And these expenses will be paid by the sponsor.

B. 50 TL will be charged as entry fee if admitted to the Summer Camp
