Abstract:

In the midst of AI awakening where machines are becoming good at many “human” jobs, people are worried that AI will ultimately lead to mass unemployment. In this talk, we will investigate whether humans and machines can work together to enhance each other’s complementary strengths and skills. We will review several deep learning applications that focus on augmented creativity, showcase real examples of human-AI collaboration, and discuss large crowd-sourced experiments to understand how deep learning systems induce emotions.
